Chimes is a powerful, autonomous engine. This policy sets the boundaries that keep it safe for everyone — your customers, your team, and the broader ecosystem.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Chimes to deceive, defraud, or harm others; to generate unlawful content; to harass or abuse; or to circumvent the safety controls, budgets, and escalation paths built into the platform.

Autonomous actions

You are responsible for the actions your configured agents take within the permissions you grant. We strongly encourage scoped capability, per-session budgets, and human approval for sensitive actions — the controls are there for a reason.

Fair use

Don't attempt to overwhelm, probe, or reverse-engineer the service in ways that degrade it for others. Rate limits and abuse protections apply to every endpoint.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access for violations that put customers, end users, or the service at risk. Where possible, we'll reach out first — but safety comes before convenience.
