The challenge
Atlas Pay needed autonomous support but operated under strict regulatory constraints. A wrong answer was a liability, PII couldn't leave their infrastructure, and every action had to be reconstructable for auditors.
What Chimes did
Chimes ran entirely inside Atlas Pay's VPC with their own Postgres, KMS, and identity behind adapters. Answers were grounded in approved policy and refused anything out of bounds. Every action — human or agent — was hash-chained and attributable.
